What are the processing characteristics of slender shafts
(1) The rigidity of a slender shaft is very poor. If it is not properly clamped during turning, it can easily bend and deform due to cutting force and gravity, causing vibration, and then reducing machining accuracy and making the surface rough.
(2) The heat dissipation function of the slender shaft is poor, and the axial linear roughness is long. Under the effect of cutting heat, it will produce considerable linear expansion. If the two ends of the shaft are fixed supports, they will bend and deform due to being squeezed. When the shaft rotates at high speed, the centrifugal force caused by this bending will further intensify the deformation of the shaft.
